From the road you can barely see it: the Antinori family's winery is hidden inside the hill, with vines growing on its roof. Inside awaits some of the most remarkable wine architecture in Italy.

Architecture in harmony with the landscape

Opened in 2012 near Bargino, the winery was designed by the Florentine practice Archea Associati. It is built into the slope, leaving the landscape almost untouched, while the earth keeps the cellars naturally cool.

A signature detail is the spiral staircase linking the different levels.

Viticulture and wine culture

The Antinori family has been making wine for more than six centuries. Tours explain how the wines are made, the family's history and the work in the vineyards, followed by a tasting.
